Responsibilities
- Safely operate dump trucks to transport construction materials (gravel, asphalt, debris) to job sites across Chicagoland
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations, safety protocols, and local traffic laws
- Collaborate with dispatch and site supervisors for timely material deliveries
- Secure loads and ensure proper unloading procedures at destination sites
- Perform minor vehicle troubleshooting and report maintenance needs promptly
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with air brakes endorsement
- Minimum 1 year dump truck operation experience in construction/transportation
- Clean MVR with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to pass DOT physical and pre-employment drug screening
- Familiarity with Chicago-area geography and commercial routes
- Basic mechanical aptitude and equipment troubleshooting skills
- Strong work ethic and punctuality for early morning/weekend shifts
