Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks safely and efficiently on local delivery routes within the San Francisco area.
- Inspect the vehicle for defects and report any mechanical issues before and after trips.
- Load and unload cargo using proper equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, or hand trucks) ensuring safety standards are met.
- Maintain accurate logbooks and electronic logging device (ELD) records in compliance with FMCSA regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients at delivery sites.
- Ensure the security of cargo during transit and manage paperwork (bills of lading) accurately.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B CDL driver's license required.
- Current DOT medical card and DOT physical.
- Minimum of 1 year of commercial driving experience preferred.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and perform physical tasks related to loading/unloading.
- Strong time management skills and ability to work independently.
- Basic knowledge of GPS navigation and electronic logging devices.
