Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A/B commercial vehicles for local and regional deliveries
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations, HOS guidelines, and company safety protocols
- Perform pre-trip inspections and basic vehicle maintenance checks
- Coordinate with dispatch teams for efficient route planning and on-time deliveries
- Provide exceptional customer service during loading/unloading and client interactions
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and electronic logging systems
- Represent Metro Freight Solutions professionally in all client and public interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) in good standing
- Minimum 1 year verifiable commercial driving experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations in the past 3 years
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in varying weather conditions
- Strong knowledge of Portland metro area roadways and traffic patterns
- Basic proficiency with GPS navigation and mobile communication devices
- Excellent time management and problem-solving abilities
- Pass background check and drug screening (company policy)
