Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws and DOT regulations.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure cargo and vehicle safety.
- Load and unload cargo using proper lifting techniques and equipment, ensuring product integrity.
- Complete accurate delivery documentation, including electronic logging devices (ELD) and bills of lading.
- Provide exceptional customer service by maintaining a professional demeanor during pickups and deliveries.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and potential delays.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the vehicle interior and exterior at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B required.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no serious violations within the last 3-5 years.
- Part-time availability to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, or early mornings.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Physically capable of lifting and moving cargo weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Basic computer proficiency for electronic logging and communication apps.
