Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A/B commercial vehicles for local deliveries and short-haul routes
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations, HOS guidelines, and company safety protocols
- Load/unload cargo efficiently using proper equipment and material handling techniques
- Communicate professionally with dispatch, customers, and warehouse personnel
- Navigate San Diego County's diverse road conditions and delivery zones
- Submit timely delivery documentation and incident reports
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year verifiable commercial driving experience
- Pass DOT physical examination and drug screening
- Proficient in electronic logging device (ELD) operation
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and operate loading equipment
- Strong knowledge of San Diego geography and traffic patterns
- Excellent time management and problem-solving abilities
