Responsibilities
- Transport freight between Las Vegas distribution centers and regional destinations
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation for each shipment
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and basic preventive maintenance
- Adapt routes to meet delivery deadlines while prioritizing safety
- Communicate proactively with dispatch and clients regarding shipment status
- Ensure secure loading/unloading of cargo using proper equipment
- Comply with DOT regulations and local traffic laws
Qualifications
- Valid Class B CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years box truck driving experience
- Reliable 26-foot box truck (2005 or newer) with current registration
- Proof of commercial insurance ($1M liability minimum)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Smartphone with reliable data for dispatch communication
- Strong time management and route optimization skills
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting knowledge
