Responsibilities
- Transport students to and from school on assigned routes in a safe, timely, and courteous manner.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the bus is in safe operating condition.
- Monitor student behavior on the bus and enforce safety rules to maintain a secure environment.
- Assist passengers with boarding and exiting the bus, particularly those with special needs.
- Keep the bus interior clean, sanitary, and organized at all times.
- Communicate effectively with school staff and parents regarding any issues or delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger and School Bus endorsements (or the ability to obtain them immediately).
- A clean driving record with no serious traffic violations in the past 3-5 years.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills to interact with students and parents.
- Physical ability to lift small objects and stand for extended periods.
