Responsibilities
- Safely operate dump trucks to transport loose materials such as sand, gravel, dirt, and asphalt to and from construction sites.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in safe operating condition.
- Dump loads at designated sites efficiently and accurately, ensuring proper disposal.
- Maintain a clean and organized truck cab and cargo area at all times.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company safety policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and site supervisors regarding delivery schedules and potential delays.
- Assist with general site cleanup and maintenance when not driving.
Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License (Class B Preferred): Must hold a valid state driver's license.
- No Experience Required: Prior commercial driving experience is a plus, but not mandatory for entry-level positions.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and perform physical labor in various weather conditions.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on safety and adherence to inspection checklists.
- Communication Skills: Ability to clearly understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
- Reliability: Punctual and dependable with a history of showing up for shifts.
- CDL: While not strictly required for this specific entry-level posting, obtaining a Class B CDL is encouraged for career growth.
