Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for overnight regional routes
- Adhere to strict FMCSA regulations and company safety protocols
- Plan efficient routes using GPS navigation systems and real-time traffic data
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle documentation
- Load/unload freight with proper equipment handling techniques
- Communicate with dispatch team regarding delivery status and potential delays
- Manage time-sensitive deliveries with precision and reliability
- Maintain clean driving record and compliance with all DOT requirements
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean 3-year MVR
- Minimum 1 year verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Strong knowledge of Jacksonville metro area and Southeastern routes
- Excellent time management and problem-solving abilities
- Comfortable working independently overnight with minimal supervision
- Basic proficiency in electronic logging devices (ELD) systems
