Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A tractor-trailers for overnight freight deliveries across Michigan and neighboring states
- Pre-trip/post-trip inspections and accurate maintenance documentation
- Adhere to DOT regulations, HOS compliance, and local traffic ordinances
- Coordinate with dispatch team for efficient route optimization and delivery confirmations
- Secure and unload freight at distribution centers and industrial facilities
- Maintain electronic logs (ELD) and delivery records using fleet management software
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years tractor-trailer experience with night shift preference
- Strong knowledge of Detroit metro area roadways and industrial zones
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work in variable weather conditions
- Pass federal background check and drug screening
- HAZMAT certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
