Responsibilities
- Safely operate 53' dry van trailers on overnight routes (10 PM - 6 AM)
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and DOT compliance documentation
- Load/unload freight with pallet jacks and forklifts (certification provided)
- Utilize GPS tracking for real-time route optimization
- Maintain electronic logs (ELD) and Hours of Service compliance
- Communicate with dispatch via satellite messaging system
- Handle temperature-sensitive freight with climate control protocols
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with at least 2 years verifiable experience
- Clean MVR (no major violations in 3 years)
- TWIC card and Hazmat endorsement (or willing to obtain)
- Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly and pass physical exam
- Strong knowledge of Texas interstate highway systems
- Overnight shift availability (Monday-Friday schedule)
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Basic computer skills for ELD systems
