Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for overnight freight transport
- Execute precise delivery routes while adhering to DOT regulations and safety protocols
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate electronic logs
- Coordinate with dispatch teams for real-time route adjustments and delivery confirmations
- Secure and handle specialized freight with proper loading/unloading techniques
- Implement defensive driving strategies in varying weather conditions
- Document delivery exceptions and maintain customer communication standards
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and operate loading equipment
- Familiarity with Columbus metro area and surrounding regions
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Strong time management and problem-solving abilities
- Flexibility to work overnight shifts (typically 8 PM - 6 AM)
