Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles to transport packages, food, and medical supplies across New Orleans metropolitan area
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and real-time GPS tracking for all shipments
- Verify recipient identities and handle payment transactions securely
- Perform pre-trip inspections and report vehicle maintenance needs promptly
- Adapt to dynamic urban traffic patterns and weather conditions during overnight hours
- Provide exceptional customer service for emergency and scheduled deliveries
- Collaborate with dispatch team for route adjustments and priority shipments
Qualifications
- Valid Louisiana driver's license with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 1 year professional driving experience in urban environments
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand/walk for extended periods
- Strong knowledge of New Orleans streets and surrounding parishes
- Reliable smartphone with GPS capability and data plan
- Flexibility to work overnight shifts (typically 10 PM - 6 AM)
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and inventory counts
- Pass background check and drug screening
