Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles for time-sensitive deliveries across Sacramento metropolitan area
- Execute optimized routes using GPS technology to maximize efficiency
- Verify delivery documentation and obtain customer signatures
- Maintain vehicle safety standards through pre/post-trip inspections
- Communicate proactively with dispatch team regarding delivery status
- Adhere to all traffic regulations and company safety protocols
- Assist with loading/unloading procedures when necessary
Qualifications
- Valid Class C driver's license with clean MVR (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 1 year commercial driving experience
- Ability to lift packages up to 50 lbs regularly
- Strong navigation skills and familiarity with Sacramento area
- Flexibility to work overnight shifts (typically 10 PM - 6 AM)
- Basic smartphone proficiency for delivery tracking apps
- Pass background check and drug screening
