Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (dry van, refrigerated) during overnight shifts
- Adhere to DOT regulations and maintain meticulous logbooks
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and basic vehicle maintenance
- Load/unload freight using pallet jacks and forklift training
- Navigate Louisville metro area and regional highways efficiently
- Communicate with dispatch via ELD systems and mobile apps
- Maintain clean driving record and safety documentation
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (3+ years experience)
- Night shift availability (10 PM - 6 AM, flexible schedule)
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Forklift certification or willingness to obtain
- Familiarity with Louisville metro routes preferred
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Strong time management and communication abilities
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
