Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles to deliver packages and goods throughout Jacksonville metropolitan area during overnight hours (10 PM - 6 AM)
- Plan efficient routes using GPS technology to ensure timely delivery while adhering to traffic regulations
- Maintain accurate delivery records and obtain customer signatures for proof of delivery
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure operational safety
- Communicate effectively with dispatch team regarding delivery status and route changes
- Assist with loading/unloading packages at distribution center with proper lifting techniques
- Represent the company professionally while interacting with customers at delivery locations
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver's license (Class A or B) with clean driving record (no DUIs or major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years of professional driving experience with delivery or commercial vehicle background
- Ability to lift packages up to 50 pounds regularly and stand/walk for extended periods
- Strong navigation skills and familiarity with Jacksonville roadways
- Flexible availability to work overnight shifts including weekends and holidays
- Pass background check and drug screening as per company policy
- Basic computer literacy for using delivery tracking systems and mobile apps
- Excellent time management and problem-solving abilities in fast-paced environments
