Responsibilities
- Transport medical specimens, lab samples, and patient records safely and securely between healthcare facilities, labs, and hospitals.
- Adhere strictly to HIPAA regulations and company protocols to ensure the highest level of patient confidentiality and data protection.
- Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and safety of the delivery vehicle at all times.
- Communicate effectively with healthcare providers to coordinate pick-up and drop-off schedules.
- Verify recipient identities and complete all necessary digital and paper documentation upon delivery.
- Navigate efficiently using GPS and local knowledge to optimize delivery routes and ensure timely arrivals.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues immediately.
Qualifications
- Valid Class C Driver’s License and a clean driving record (no major violations within the last 3 years).
- Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the shift.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Pass a comprehensive background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle record (MVR) check.
- Reliable personal vehicle with current insurance and registration.
- Access to a smartphone with internet capabilities for GPS navigation and communication.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays as required.
