Responsibilities
- Transport and deliver sensitive medical specimens, lab samples, and patient records to various healthcare facilities in the Omaha area.
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA regulations and OSHA safety standards regarding the handling of bio-hazardous materials.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the courier vehicle is clean and in optimal operating condition.
- Utilize handheld scanners and mobile applications to accurately log delivery times and track packages in real-time.
- Provide exceptional customer service to medical staff and patients at all pickup and drop-off locations.
- Ensure all deliveries are made within the strict time windows required for patient care continuity.
Qualifications
- Valid Class D Driver's License and a clean driving record (no DUIs or major moving violations within the last 3 years).
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 lbs on an occasional basis.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Willingness to undergo a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Basic computer literacy and experience with handheld delivery devices is preferred but not mandatory.
