Responsibilities
- Safe Transportation: Safely transport medical specimens, blood samples, lab results, and pharmaceuticals to hospitals, clinics, and testing facilities across Los Angeles.
- Chain of Custody: Maintain strict adherence to chain-of-custody protocols, ensuring all paperwork and electronic tracking are completed accurately for every delivery.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of your vehicle or scooter to ensure it is clean, secure, and fully operational.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with medical staff and patients, ensuring a positive and courteous experience at drop-off points.
- Compliance: Adhere to all company policies, traffic laws, and healthcare regulations regarding the handling of sensitive medical materials.
- Schedule Management: Adhere to assigned delivery windows and manage time efficiently to meet daily routing targets.
Qualifications
- Valid Driver’s License: A valid driver’s license (Class C) and a clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years).
- Vehicle: Reliable personal vehicle or ability to provide your own reliable scooter/moped if applicable.
- Background Check: Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 pounds occasionally and navigate various terrains and city environments.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to read and comprehend route maps and delivery instructions.
- Technology: Comfortable using handheld scanners and mobile applications for tracking and proof of delivery.
