Responsibilities
- Safely transport medical specimens, organs, pharmaceuticals, and lab supplies between healthcare facilities
- Maintain strict temperature control for temperature-sensitive shipments using specialized equipment
- Verify documentation and chain of custody for all medical transports
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance and biohazard handling protocols
- Provide real-time shipment tracking and delivery confirmations
- Maintain clean, organized transport vehicles and equipment
- Collaborate with dispatch team to optimize delivery routes and timelines
Qualifications
- Valid California driver's license with clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year medical courier or healthcare logistics experience
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred
- Proficiency with GPS navigation and shipment tracking systems
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate medical transport equipment
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Exceptional communication and customer service abilities
- Pass background check and drug screening
