Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (trucks/trailers) on designated routes
- Complete pre/post-trip inspections and maintenance reports
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and safety protocols
- Manage delivery schedules and optimize route efficiency
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs
- Represent company professionally in all client interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license (Virginia or transferable)
- Minimum 2 years commercial driving experience
- Clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELD)
- Knowledge of Virginia road networks and regulations
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
