Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks (Class A) safely and efficiently along designated routes in and around Detroit.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo accurately and securely, adhering to safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery documentation.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members.
- Manage time effectively to meet delivery deadlines and route schedules.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical exam and drug screening.
- Strong knowledge of local Detroit routes and geography is preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Must be at least 21 years of age and have a valid Social Security Number.
