Responsibilities
- Safely transport K-12 students to/from school and extracurricular activities
- Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and maintain accurate logs
- Implement student management protocols ensuring safety and discipline
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws and district safety procedures
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatchers
- Respond to emergency situations with calm professionalism
- Maintain clean and orderly bus interior at all times
Qualifications
- Valid Nebraska Commercial Driver's License (Class B with P/S endorsement)
- Minimum 21 years of age with clean driving record
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Ability to obtain school bus certification within 30 days
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist mobility-impaired students
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Experience working with children preferred
