As a Dump Truck Driver at Apex Hauling, you will be the backbone of our construction operations, ensuring materials are delivered on time and site safety is maintained at the highest standard.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate dump trucks (Wheels, Steer, End Dump) on various job sites in the Tucson metropolitan area.
- Load and unload materials (sand, gravel, rock, asphalt) efficiently and safely.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety.
- Maintain accurate logbooks and electronic mileage records in compliance with FMCSA regulations.
- Communicate effectively with site supervisors and yard personnel regarding load status and traffic conditions.
- Keep the truck and trailer clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable experience operating dump trucks or heavy haul vehicles.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws and safe driving practices in varying weather conditions.
- Physically capable of lifting heavy items and working in outdoor environments.
- Must reside within a reasonable commuting distance of Tucson, AZ.
