Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles on dedicated routes between Washington, DC and key East Coast destinations
- Maintain meticulous trip logs and ensure compliance with FMCSA regulations
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs promptly
- Optimize delivery schedules while maintaining exceptional customer service standards
- Utilize advanced GPS systems for efficient route planning and real-time communication
- Handle secure freight with specialized handling protocols as required
- Participate in continuous training programs to enhance safety and efficiency skills
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 3 years verifiable OTR driving experience
- Successfully pass DOT physical and pre-employment drug screening
- Proficiency in electronic logging devices and transportation management systems
- Strong knowledge of FMCSA regulations and safety protocols
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate in various weather conditions
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- Willingness to pass comprehensive background check
