This role blends foresight, strategic planning, and cross-functional leadership to shape products, services, and organizational evolution for the next decade.
As a key member of our Innovation Lab, you'll collaborate with C-suite executives, R&D teams, and global partners to anticipate paradigm shifts in AI, biotechnology, quantum computing, and sustainable systems. Your insights will directly influence $500M+ innovation portfolios and define our competitive edge in the 2026 digital economy.
Responsibilities
- Analyze global technology trends, patent landscapes, and socio-economic indicators to forecast disruptive innovations through 2026
- Develop strategic roadmaps integrating emerging technologies (AGI, synthetic biology, quantum encryption) with business objectives
- Lead cross-functional workshops to ideate and validate future product/service concepts
- Author high-impact foresight reports and scenario-planning frameworks for executive decision-making
- Partner with venture capital teams to identify and evaluate frontier technology startups
- Establish innovation KPIs and track progress against future-state milestones
- Represent FutureWorks at global tech summits (Web Summit, CES, World Economic Forum)
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Technology Strategy, Innovation Management, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 8+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or R&D leadership at Fortune 500/tech scale-up
- Proven track record of translating trend analysis into commercialized products/services
- Deep expertise in at least three emerging tech domains: AI/ML, quantum computing, synthetic biology, or neurotech
- Published thought leadership (white papers, patents, TED talks) on future technologies
- Experience with foresight methodologies: Delphi, Horizon Scanning, Technology Roadmapping
- Exceptional storytelling abilities to communicate complex futures to diverse stakeholders
