Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport freight within Phoenix metropolitan area
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Plan efficient routes using GPS navigation while adhering to delivery schedules
- Load/unload freight with proper equipment and secure cargo per DOT regulations
- Complete delivery documentation and maintain electronic logging system compliance
- Communicate proactively with dispatch regarding delays or route changes
- Represent Swift Logistics professionally with clients at delivery points
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Familiarity with Phoenix metro routes and Arizona highway systems
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Commitment to safety protocols and defensive driving practices
- Flexibility for early morning starts and occasional weekend shifts
