Responsibilities
- Safely operate dump trucks to transport construction materials, debris, and aggregates to designated sites
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation for all shipments
- Adapt routes based on traffic conditions, weather, and delivery priorities
- Collaborate with site supervisors and dispatch teams for seamless operations
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance checks and report mechanical issues promptly
- Adhere strictly to federal DOT regulations and company safety protocols
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years of dump truck or heavy equipment operation experience
- Ability to obtain and maintain DOT medical certification
- Strong knowledge of Chicago metropolitan area roadways and construction sites
- Proficiency in using GPS navigation and electronic logging devices
- Excellent time management and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in various weather conditions
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
