Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently deliver food packages, retail goods, or documents to designated locations across NYC boroughs
- Maintain accurate delivery records and obtain customer signatures when required
- Optimize routes using GPS technology to ensure timely arrivals and fuel efficiency
- Inspect vehicles daily for mechanical issues and report maintenance needs promptly
- Provide exceptional customer service through friendly communication and professional appearance
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety protocols at all times
- Assist with loading/unloading procedures and inventory management when needed
Qualifications
- Valid New York State driver's license with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 1 year of professional driving experience in urban environments
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly and stand/walk for extended periods
- Strong knowledge of NYC geography and navigation apps (Google Maps, Waze)
- Excellent time management skills and ability to meet tight delivery windows
- Basic smartphone proficiency for using delivery tracking applications
- Pass background check and drug screening as per company policy
- Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays
