Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and trailers over long distances and in various weather conditions.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper weight distribution and securement.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Maintain accurate logs and documentation, including electronic logging devices (ELD).
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to ensure timely deliveries.
- Conduct minor vehicle maintenance and troubleshoot mechanical issues when necessary.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and current DOT medical card.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Strong time management, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
- Willingness to undergo paid training if transitioning from Class B to Class A.
