Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and delivery vehicles on local and regional routes.
- Load and unload cargo safely using hand trucks, forklifts, or pallet jacks.
- Inspect vehicles daily for mechanical issues and report any necessary maintenance.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and paperwork in compliance with DOT regulations.
- Ensure the securement of freight to prevent damage during transit.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and delays.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety protocols at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Driver’s License required (Class A or B preferred).
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical exam.
- Willingness to undergo a background check and drug screening.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.
- Basic mechanical aptitude to handle minor vehicle issues.
- Reliable personal transportation for commuting to the terminal.
