Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial freight vehicles (dry van and refrigerated) across designated routes
- Load/unload shipments using proper equipment and safety protocols
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic logging systems
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle compliance
- Coordinate with dispatch teams for timely deliveries and route adjustments
- Implement defensive driving techniques in all weather conditions
- Build strong relationships with clients at delivery points
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Strong knowledge of FMCSA regulations and safety standards
- Flexibility for overnight regional runs (home daily for local routes)
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Basic navigation skills and familiarity with West Texas terrain
