Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks to transport freight across Virginia and surrounding states
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and maintenance checks
- Load/unload cargo using proper equipment and safety protocols
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic documentation
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company safety policies
- Assist in route optimization to ensure efficient deliveries
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B
- Minimum 1 year verifiable commercial driving experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Flexibility to work various shifts including nights/weekends
- Basic knowledge of Virginia traffic laws and regulations
- Pass background check and drug screening
