Responsibilities
- Safely operate a modern, well-maintained commercial vehicle on dedicated routes between Richmond, VA and major East Coast distribution centers
- Adhere to strict DOT regulations and company safety protocols while maintaining meticulous delivery documentation
- Coordinate with dispatch team using our advanced fleet management system to optimize delivery schedules
- Conduct thorough pre-trip inspections and report maintenance needs promptly
- Build strong client relationships through professional communication and on-time deliveries
- Utilize flexible scheduling to balance work commitments with personal life priorities
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with at least 2 years of verifiable OTR driving experience
- Clean MVR and satisfactory DOT physical examination results
- Strong knowledge of Eastern Seaboard geography and major highway systems
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading/unloading equipment safely
- Proven track record of on-time performance and safety compliance
- Excellent time management skills with ability to work independently
- Willingness to work flexible schedules including overnight trips and occasional weekends
