Responsibilities
- Safely operate dump trucks to transport soil, gravel, and construction materials to job sites
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and preventive maintenance checks
- Manage loading/unloading operations using hydraulic controls
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and compliance documentation
- Adhere to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Coordinate with dispatch teams for efficient route planning
- Assist in site preparation and material staging as needed
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years commercial dump truck experience
- Ability to pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with local Baton Rouge traffic patterns and job sites
- Strong knowledge of safety procedures for heavy equipment operation
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills for vehicle maintenance
- Flexibility to work extended hours and weekends as required
