Responsibilities
- Safely transport packages and documents using company vehicles within San Jose and surrounding areas
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and real-time tracking updates via mobile app
- Provide exceptional customer service during package handoffs and route interactions
- Perform pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs promptly
- Optimize delivery routes using GPS navigation to ensure maximum efficiency
- Handle special delivery requirements including temperature-sensitive materials
- Collaborate with dispatch team to resolve delivery challenges proactively
Qualifications
- Valid California Class C driver's license with clean driving record (3+ years)
- Minimum 2 years professional driving experience in urban environments
- Ability to lift packages up to 50 lbs regularly and operate manual/automatic transmissions
- Proficiency with smartphone navigation apps and delivery management systems
- Strong time management skills with ability to meet strict delivery deadlines
- Pass background check and drug screening (company policy)
- Excellent communication skills in English (bilingual Spanish a plus)
- Flexibility to work occasional weekends/holidays during peak seasons
