Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles to transport packages and documents across designated routes in Raleigh and surrounding areas
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and update tracking systems in real-time
- Verify recipient identities and obtain proper signatures for all deliveries
- Perform pre-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs promptly
- Provide exceptional customer service during all delivery interactions
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws and company safety protocols at all times
- Assist with sorting and organizing packages at the distribution center
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding route changes or delivery challenges
Qualifications
- Valid North Carolina driver's license with clean driving record (minimum 3 years)
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier (1+ years preferred)
- Ability to lift packages up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout shift
- Familiarity with Raleigh area streets and navigation systems
- Strong time-management skills and punctuality
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Basic computer literacy for tracking systems
