Responsibilities
- Safely transport freight across regional routes in Texas and surrounding states
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure equipment complianceMaintain accurate delivery documentation and electronic logging
- Adhere strictly to HOS regulations and company safety protocols
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding shipment status
- Collaborate with warehouse teams for efficient loading/unloading
- Represent Swift professionally in customer interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years tractor-trailer experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Proficient in electronic logging device usage
- Strong knowledge of Texas roadways and regulations
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- Willingness to work flexible schedules including weekends
