Responsibilities
- Safely operate dump trucks on various construction sites and public roads throughout Durham and surrounding areas.
- Load and unload materials (sand, gravel, dirt, asphalt) efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in optimal working condition.
- Maintain accurate daily logs and records as required by DOT regulations.
- Navigate complex job sites, including working in tight spaces and adverse weather conditions.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and site supervisors to ensure timely delivery of materials.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable experience operating dump trucks.
- Current Medical Certificate (DOT Medical Card).
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Physically fit and capable of lifting heavy loads and working in various weather conditions.
- Strong understanding of traffic laws and safety regulations.
