Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport goods within Washington DC metropolitan area
- Perform pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Deliver freight to designated locations on time and in optimal condition
- Communicate effectively with dispatch team and clients regarding delivery status
- Maintain clean driving record and complete required documentation
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license or ability to obtain through company-sponsored training
- Clean driving record (minimum 3 years without major violations)
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Basic knowledge of GPS navigation and route planning
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in various weather conditions
