Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks safely and efficiently to transport goods across Indiana and surrounding states
- Perform pre-trip inspections and basic vehicle maintenance checks
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation
- Adhere to all DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status
- Load/unload freight with proper handling techniques
- Represent the company professionally in all client interactions
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license (Class A CDL preferred or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Basic math skills for weight distribution and trip planning
- Reliable transportation to and from our Indianapolis terminal
- Flexibility to work variable schedules including nights and weekends
- Strong work ethic and commitment to safety
- No major moving violations in past 3 years
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
