Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport freight across assigned routes
- Perform thorough pre-trip/post-trip vehicle inspections and documentation
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations, HOS compliance, and safety protocols
- Load/unload cargo with proper handling techniques and equipment
- Maintain accurate electronic logs and delivery documentation
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding shipment status
- Respond professionally to unexpected route changes or delivery challenges
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license required (A license preferred)
- Clean driving record with no major violations in past 3 years
- Pass DOT physical and pre-employment drug screening
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly during loading/unloading
- Basic navigation skills and familiarity with GPS technology
- Strong commitment to safety and punctuality
- Willingness to work flexible schedules including overnight trips
- No prior experience necessary – training provided
