Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (trucks and trailers) for local and regional routes
- Complete pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate trip documentation
- Adhere strictly to FMCSA regulations and company safety protocols
- Load/unload cargo with proper equipment and securement methods
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status
- Maintain clean driving record and comply with Hours of Service regulations
- Participate in ongoing safety training and equipment familiarization
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or willingness to obtain through our training program
- Minimum 21 years of age with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Basic math skills for trip planning and weight calculations
- Strong work ethic and punctuality
- Ability to work independently and follow detailed instructions
- Flexibility to work weekends, nights, and occasional overnight trips
- Must pass background check and have reliable transportation to depot
