Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A/B) to transport freight on established routes
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Adhere to all DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Load/unload cargo with proper equipment and securement techniques
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status
- Manage delivery schedules and maintain timely performance metrics
- Complete required paperwork (BOLs, logs, incident reports) accurately
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Basic knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Strong time management and route navigation skills
- Willingness to pass background check and drug screening
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 1+ year of driving experience preferred (entry-level training available)
