Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A/B) across North Carolina and Southeastern states
- Perform pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and ensure compliance with DOT regulations
- Load/unload freight using proper equipment and safety protocols
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic records (ELD)
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
- Adhere to strict safety standards and defensive driving practices
- Communicate effectively with dispatch team and clients
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Clean MVR with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Basic knowledge of DOT regulations and safety procedures
- Strong work ethic and punctuality
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Flexibility for overnight trips and variable schedules
- High school diploma or equivalent required
