Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (trucks/trailers) following DOT regulations and company policies
- Transport goods and materials to designated locations within Ohio and neighboring states
- Conduct pre-trip inspections, basic maintenance checks, and report mechanical issues
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation using electronic logging devices
- Adapt to varying routes, weather conditions, and delivery schedules
- Provide exceptional customer service during loading/unloading processes
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and defensive driving techniques
- Collaborate with dispatch team for efficient route planning and timely deliveries
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record (minimum 3 years)
- Ability to obtain Class A CDL license (training provided)
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Basic math skills for weight calculations and delivery documentation
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and climb into/out of truck cabs
- Strong time management and organizational abilities
- Willingness to work flexible hours including early mornings and weekends
