Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport freight across Ohio and neighboring states
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and document vehicle maintenance
- Adhere strictly to FMCSA regulations and company safety protocols
- Load/unload freight with proper handling techniques
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic records
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients
- Represent Swift professionally at all customer locations
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Clean driving record with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Basic math skills for weight calculations and delivery documentation
- Flexibility to work weekends and overnight routes as needed
- Strong commitment to safety and compliance
- Willingness to complete Swift's paid training program
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
