Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles safely and efficiently according to federal and state regulations.
- Load and unload freight, ensuring cargo security and proper documentation.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD) and adhere to Hours of Service (HOS) rules.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times and route changes.
- Perform routine maintenance checks and minor repairs as needed.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record.
- Demonstrated ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Must be at least 21 years of age for interstate commerce.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong commitment to safety and adherence to traffic laws.
- Willingness to work varied schedules and be on-call for dispatch.
