Responsibilities
- Operate dump trucks to transport loose materials (soil, rock, sand, asphalt) to and from construction sites.
- Inspect the truck before and after each shift to ensure mechanical safety and proper functioning.
- Load and unload materials using a forklift or manual labor as required.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, miles driven, and cargo status.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and site supervisors regarding delivery schedules and potential delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience operating heavy dump trucks.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Strong understanding of basic vehicle maintenance and safety protocols.
- Physically fit and capable of lifting heavy objects and working in various weather conditions.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends when necessary.
