Responsibilities
- Operate dump trucks and heavy equipment safely and efficiently on various job sites.
- Load and unload materials, ensuring proper weight distribution and securement.
- Maintain accurate logs and adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and site supervisors to coordinate delivery schedules.
- Keep the work area clean and organized, promoting a safe environment for all crew members.
- Handle materials with care to prevent damage to property and ensure customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- A valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or the ability to obtain one through our paid training program.
- A clean driving record with no major traffic violations in the last 3-5 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong understanding of basic trucking mechanics and safety protocols.
- Willingness to work in various weather conditions and adhere to strict schedules.
- Basic math skills for calculating weight and loads.
